Objectives |
to design a cogeneration (combined heat and power, CHP) system for a standard military container. The cogeneration system will provide basic energy supply for up to three persons on a specific location, and ensure favourable working and residence conditions in accordance with military standards. |
Description |
in addition to basic heating/cooling needs and sanitary water supply, the system meets the energy needs for personal communication and computer equipment, for internal and external lighting, and for power supply around the container. |
Innovation |
aggregate for combined heat and electrical energy production is designed as a stand-alone Plug and Play system. The basic unit is mobile aggregate, which operates on the basis of PEM (Proton Exchange Membrane) fuel cell. The fuel is hydrogen, which is stored in the inner tank. |
Benefits |
the hydrogen technology and the use of fuel cells have not yet achieved commercial parameters. Mobile fuel-cell-based CHP units are competitive and attractive to a wide range of potential users. They can be considered as future technology, which will become part of the integrated solutions of clean energy supplies. |
